The annual survey “Amazing China – the Most Attractive Chinese Cities for Expats” conducted by the Ministry of Science and Technology unveiled the results of the 2021 edition recently. Suzhou and other nine cities were awarded the title.
Themed on “city opening-up and talent introduction,” the poll started in March this year and saw respondents evaluate Chinese cities according to various criteria such as living and working convenience, as well as innovative and entrepreneurial environment, in a bid to understand the concerns and appeals of foreign experts in China. A total of 5,625 valid questionnaires were received, among which 147 were from high-end experts including Nobel Prize laureates , Chinese Government Friendship Award winners, and high-level overseas talents, and 5,478 were from other foreign experts. The most attractive and potential Chinese cities for expats were rated accordingly to the results.
The survey is now in its 12th year, and Suzhou has been named one of the most attractive Chinese cities for expats for the 11th time in a row.
