The first Tsinghua × Fan Deng Suzhou Bookstore started trial operation yesterday.
Located at Research Institute for Environmental Innovation (Suzhou) Tsinghua in Suzhou Science and Technology Town, the two-story bookstore is created by Research Institute for Environmental Innovation (Suzhou) Tsinghua and Fan Deng Bookstore. With an area of 600 square meters, the bookstore offers more than 3000 books for rent and 15,000 for sale.
The bookstore separates the reading area from the dining area. Besides reading books, you can listen to audiobooks as well and get access to an array of excellent books recommended by total strangers in the special interactive space.
In the future, the bookstore will combine online book-listening and offline activities and invite distinguished writers to provide a unique experience for bookworms. Moreover, it is planning to build a social practice base for students and an education base to popularize environmental protection.
Residents now can pay a visit to the bookstore provided that they conduct self-protection measures as required.
