Suzhou Chinese Orchestra concluded its online concerts in celebration of Chinese New Year recently, bringing music with traditional Chinese features to 66 countries and regions around the world.
Five concerts were broadcast on various platforms worldwide from the first day of the lunar year to the Lantern Festival: Chinese Music with the Charm of Suzhou, Beautiful Scenery of Suzhou, A Tribute to the Classics, The Grand Canal, and Dancing China.
Eric, a viewer from Europe, described the concert as “touching, amazing, wonderful,” hoping the orchestra would perform in Europe in the near future.
In 2023, Suzhou Chinese Orchestra will perform in a series of cities at home, including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Changsha and Wuhan, as well as Taiwan province, and kick off its second European tour, visiting Steyr, Vienna and Salzburg in Austria, Berlin, Munich and Leipzig in Germany, and Ljubljana in Slovenia. It will continue collaboration with platforms across the globe to build an international platform for music and cultural exchanges and fully show the world the unique charm of traditional Chinese music.
