Located to the south of Songjiang Road and the west of Lianfeng Road, Suzhou Industrial Park Xingtang Hospital, a Grade II public general hospital that offers comprehensive services including health care, rehabilitation, preventive care and emergency treatment, was formally put into use recently.
Xingtang Hospital, formerly The People’s Hospital of Wu County Xietang District which was established in 1966, boasts a history of 50-plus years. It was listed as one of the key livelihood projects of Suzhou Industrial Park in 2018.
Hospital scale
With a total investment of RMB 230 million yuan, Xingtang Hospital was constructed in accordance with the standards for Grade II general hospital and is equipped with 240 beds.
Staffing
Currently, the hospital has a medical staff of 217. Among them, 41 have a vice-senior title or above, 55 have a middle title, 11 have a master’s degree and 137 have a bachelor’s degree.
Hospital resource allocation
The hospital has set up 18 clinical departments and four medical technology departments and is installed with a variety of advanced medical equipment such as GECT, Siemens DR, Olympus endoscope, Hitachi digital gastrointestinal machine, Philips color ultrasound, etc.
Medical treatment combination
With a hierarchical medical system already built, Xingtang Hospital has formed a close-knit medical treatment combination with Dushu Lake Hospital Affiliated with Soochow University, Children’s Hospital of Soochow University, Suzhou Municipal Hospital (North District), etc., committed to providing neighboring residents with high-quality medical care and public health services.
In the future, Xingtang Hospital will focus on building such key departments as department of respiration, department of endocrinology, department of surgery, department of orthopedics, department of obstetrics and gynecology, etc.
Furthermore, the hospital will make it a long-term practice to invite celebrated experts of relevant departments to see patients on a regular basis.
